American Community School of Abu Dhabi –UAE—February 19-21, 2015
Christine was invited to speak to a group of 250 students about global sustainability via social entrepreneurship. With this topic in mind, she provided an inspirational perspective, making an argument that the new faces of disruption today are getting younger (from Anne Frank to Malala and more). She urged students not to make excuses for their age and to leverage their youth for social good.
GIN is a three-day event for students, organized by students, to inform, inspire, equip, and ACT. GIN stands for Global Issues Network. Every year, the American Community School of Abu Dhabi, along with other schools around the world, organises GIN conferences. These are student-run events. These events empower students to take action and tackle the global problems they are most passionate about. The weekend revolves around awareness and action; as a result of the weekend, a variety of action plans will be drafted to implement them at each participating school as a part of a collaborative GIN effort.
